5x Vegan eats in Amsterdam

__Bardak__ As a vegan you’ve probably heard about this hotspot. But it is a great restaurant to go to for non vegans as well. They give you the Israeli vibes, good food and great drinks for an affordable price. We really recommend taking the mushroom shawarma, it will have you coming back for more! __Vegan Junkfood Bar__ This is an easy one and no big surprise, but it couldn’t be missing from the list. It might be a slight misconception that vegans are always healthy, cause of course we’re not. We like the ‘bad stuff’ as much as anyone else. That’s why grabbing a bite here every now and then keeps us sane. Of course we also try to stay healthy by incorporating regular Vélo rides, but life is all about balance! __Meatless districts__ We love this one because it is completely vegan, very healthy and beautiful. Only looking at their instagram feed makes us want to eat healthy, drink kombucha and sip on a cocktail on their sunny terrace. We also love the fact that they have an open kitchen, not just because you know what they do with your food but also because it’s so entertaining to watch them construct those beautiful plates. __Sababa__ Here is a little newcomer to town. Sababa only opened its doors April this year and we’re already hooked. Partially because Middle-eastern cuisine is our favourite, but also because they know what they’re doing. Bringing all their dishes with vegan mayonaise makes for a 60% vegan, 80% vegetarian menu. This is something we really appreciate because it gives you the possibility to eat there with all your friends wether they’re vegan, vegetarian or meat eaters. __Mr. & Ms. Watson__ We find that probably the hardest thing about being and staying vegan, especially as a real dutchie, is steering clear from all the cheeses. Pizza’s, French cheeses and mozzarella are some of the things we would say just isn’t the same when it’s vegan. But at Mr. & Ms. Watson they prove that vegan cheeses can actually be delicious. So if you ever find yourself craving that goat cheese salad, get over here and just eat it!
