One of them is because they make for the perfect healthy treat: Banana bread. That’s why we want to share our easy banana bread recipe with you, perfect to get in those healthy carbs after your Vélo ride!
__What you’ll need:__
4 ripe bananas
180 grams of spelt flour (or gluten free flour if preferred)
Pinch of cinnamon
1/2 package of baking powder
3 medjoul dates
__How to make it:__
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius. Soak the dates is hot water for a few minutes, so they are easier to blend. Then put them in the blender together with 3 of the ripe bananas, the eggs and cinnamon. Blend till it’s a nice batter. In a bowl mix the spelt flour and baking powder, then spoon through the wet ingredients. Pour in the cake tray and top of with the 4th banana sliced in half. Bake for about 50 minutes until the banana bread is fully cooked through.
__TIP:__ if you want to make it extra special add things like nuts, raisins, dried fruits or even dark chocolate!
