Felicia's Bali Hotspots

January of this year, Felicia has made a well deserved trip to Bali. One of her favourite places to unwind and find everything she's looking for on a holiday. Just for our riders she bundled all her tips and favourite hotspots below! __Breakfast__ Copenhagen The concept of Copenhagen is simple: customize your own breakfast. When you arrive you get a piece of paper, where you can choose between a few options for bread, dairy, eggs, fruits, greens, meat, fish and sweets. You pick 3, 5 or more items to create your own meal. Simple, freaking delicious and this way you get to try out a big part of the menu. Tip: the coffee is good at this place and the cinnamon roll even better.

__Lunch__ Shady Shack The food here is amazing! Shady Shack makes the perfect brunch spot if you’re looking for healthy or vegan options. If you have a chance you got to try out their smoothies.. Because their smoothies might be the best I have ever drank. Other than that the environment is just beautiful.

__Dinner__ Warung Bu Mi I’ve been dreaming of this place since I came back. Warung Bu Mi is the place to be if you are in Canggu and craving authentic Indonesian food. The food is delicious and cheap. At arrival you first choose a base between yellow, brown, white rice or noodles. Then you can choose from different toppings out of the windows. The options are endless and even have vegan and gluten free options and of course vegetarian friendly.

__Drinks & Party__ In the Canggu area there are so many fun places you can go to have some drinks or do some dancing. Almost everyday of the week you can get around and enjoy yourselves. On Wednesday your go to place should be Old Man’s. Thursday Pretty Poison is the place to be. On Friday’s you better hang out at The Lawn. Are you looking to have a nice Saturday night? Then Black Cat’s the spot. On Sunday you go for live music at Deus Ex Machina. My favorite spot? The Lawn on Friday’s. Every week the vibe is just about right over there, the music is good and the drinks are super cheap if you are there between 7pm - 10pm. During happy hour at The Lawn selected beers, wine and cocktails are 2 for 1. That means a good night guaranteed. And if you didn’t have enough after The Lawn closes you and your friends can always party a little more at Old Man’s or Sandbar. These places go one until you do.

__Yoga__ Of course I did several yoga classes while I was in Bali. There are so many places in Bali where you can practice Yoga so I tried a few. Serenity Eco Guesthouse & Yoga really stood out with me and was even easy to book through my Classpass account I’ve been using at home. Next to being a yoga studio this place is also a guesthouse and offers people a place to stay. Serenity offers a variety of yoga classes from sunrise until sunset. The sunrise classes were my absolute favorite. The best way to start my day. Most classes they offer are 90 minutes. You’re absolutely challenged during these classes. My favorite teacher was Diaz. His flows are creative, playful and help you work every part of your brain. If you ever decide to go to Serenity absolutely check out Diaz. You will feel refreshed, balanced and inspired after his class.

__Surfen__ This year I surfed for the very first time in Bali. It has always been a thing on my bucket list and now I finally made it happen. My go to place for surf lessons is In Da Surf Camp & School. Not only the classes here are great but the guys teaching the classes are awesome as well. They are super laid back, patient, funny, skilled and passionate in what they do. I enjoyed every minute with them during my surf classes. If it’s your first class ever, In Da Surf makes you ready for your first wave, by giving you the basic surf theory on their camp. After this theory you go in the water, for about 2 hours, with an instructor which they asign to you. The whole session is being filmed from the beach, so after the session, you go back to camp and get to see the videos and get feedback from the instructor. Overall good experience with In Da Surf and definitely going back whenever I’m in Bali.

__Relax__ Bali is the place to be if you like to pamper yourself. There are so many good spots to get your nails done, get facials, massages and everything else your body is craving. When I was in Bali my favorite Spa was Espace Spa. The environment in this space is out of this world. On arrival you get a complimentary drink and when you book a massage you get the option to choose between 3 different oils. Other than that the staff is super kind and professional. During the massages they really give you their one on one attention, in quiet rooms, which makes relaxing so much easier.
