Jolien's hotspots around the world

__Sport__ Of course my favourite work out spots have bicycles ;). So next to Velo, I would say SoulCycle is my fave hotspot, especially in NYC or LA! Since the US is the place where indoor cycling like we know it started. I feel like the team there really takes you on a 45 minute elevating journey, including motivational screams, sounds and stories. It is inspiring to see riders giving it their 100%, physically but also mentally!
Further I would say I love anything active outside! For example hiking or even working out in a park.
__Drinks__ La Esquina in NYC. The perfect hidden bar in Soho, New York. You would easily walk past it during the day, and probably also by night, since the outside looks like a ‘take away’ food shop. But once you walk in and you see the bouncer at the door in the middle of the place, you know there is more to be seen;). A dark, cool and fun cocktail bar with bites downstairs! When in London, go to Joyeux Bordel, an intimate cocktail bar located behind a slightly inconspicuous black door in Shoreditch. *fun fact: I once visited this bar, the bartender was preparing my drink and I had the idea that I had seen this exact scenario before. So I asked him if he had worked in another bar before and he said that he indeed had. So a similar bar I visited in Paris popped up in my mind, and I took a wild guess: “In Paris, in ‘The Fish Club’?”, he was amazed and confirmed it! So I was actually served by the same guy in two different cities by coincidence?! Sickkkkkkkkk:)
__Lunch__ We can find this hotspot in Amsterdam: Le Salonard. By far the best sandwiches in town! Absolutely love the people that work there and if you need inspiration on what to choose from their fantastic menu; they are very happy to help. Note that you can also drink and buy the best wines there!
__Dinner__ So many hotspots to choose from! Contact me for lists of restaurants in Amsterdam, Ibiza, NYC, LA, Cape Town etc… ;) *__My absolute favorites though:__* Amsterdam: Brut de Mer - Fish, cosy, you can eat at the bar (LOVE THIS)! A little bit outside of Amsterdam: Vuurtoreneiland - A real night out in a fort on an island (including boat trip), I highly recommend this to anyone who has not been here before.
Ibiza: Es Caliu - Romantic garden, good food, lovely personnel. NYC: Cecconi’s in Dumbo - Italian food, cocktails, best view! Los Angeles: Gjelina - Pizza, cosy, outside terrace with heaters <3. Cape Town: The Black sheep - easy going, you can eat at the bar (LOVE THIS)! or The Test Kitchen - if you want fancy!!
