We know in a world full of social media, influencers, #fitlife and bikini bodies it can be hard to be satisfied with what you see in the mirror. Comparison is a natural thing and not just bad. Sometimes comparing for example your work to someone else's can make you see things in a different light and help you reach a higher level.
But when it comes to you as a person and your body, you should never be comparing yourself to anyone else! Remember everyone is on there own journey but we’re not all at the same point of our journey. Comparing yourself to a fitness model while you just started to incorporate workouts into your daily routine isn’t fair and will only set you up for disappointment. Keep focussing on yourself and you’re own journey. Hold on to that workout routine and eating fruits and veggies because it makes you feel good and energised, not because you want to lose weight!
It’s so important to workout because you love yourself and you think you’re worth it but not because you hate your body. Set some attainable goals for yourself, like being able to do a pull up, squat with a certain weight or ride the bike without stopping. Once you achieve it you will be so proud of yourself it will boost your confidence and make you even more motivated.
So stop comparing yourself to all the stylised lives on instagram, let them inspire you but remember to only compare yourself to the person YOU were yesterday and not to anyone else!
