Our 5 favourite meditation apps

Ofcourse at Vélo we love to workout. Clipping in that bike and letting everything go, by just focusing on the beat really is a form of meditation for us. But meditating by giving yourself some well deserved rest and silence can also clear your mind like you wouldn’t believe. When you’re new to meditation it can be a little hard to quiet your mind. But we assure you it’s worth a try. Just ease into it with a weekly meditation and work up to making it a daily habit. Once you’re hooked you won’t want to do without it any more. To make it a bit easier on yourself and your mind we would like to share some of our favourite guided meditation apps with you.
__1. Headspace__ Headspacee has hundreds of themed sessions on everything from stress and sleep to focus and anxiety. What we like about it is that you can set an amount of time you want to meditate, that way you’re always able to squeeze it in even if its just for 5 minutes. We’re also a big fan of their free sleepcasts which are podcasts to help you better your sleep.

It also offers support with video tutorials and a journal and lets you set reminders. You can unlock exclusive content as you progress.

__3. Primed mind__ Primed mind is a mindset coaching that combines the elements of meditation, hypnotherapy and life coaching. It helps you achieve your goals by covering numerous topics in their guided meditations. And also really helps you establish a positive mindset.

__4. Calm__ Calm gives you an original daily meditation every day. While also offering lots of guided meditations covering anxiety, focus, stress, sleep, relationships and much more. Their entire library of sleep stories has helped us fall asleep more times than one.

__5. Simple Habit__ Simple habit is focused on making meditation a habit for people with busy lifes. It helps to stress less, achieve more and live better by following the 5-minute meditations. Most of the apps are great to use for the basics or as a trial period but require payment to unlock the entire meditation library. However, once you get the hang of it, we’re pretty sure you won’t be needing an app anymore. Just give it a try and we can asure you, you’ll be reaping the benefits real soon!
