Since today (23rd of July) is officially peanut butter and chocolate day, we thought it to be the perfect reason to share one of our favourite snacks with you. We believe there’s no better combination than this. I mean the two have been married happily ever after since they've met.
As a plus, this recipe is healthy, energising and chock full of a combination of carbs, healthy fats and protein. It works as the perfect afternoon pick me up or fuel after a strong ride!
You’ll only need 3 ingredients for this snack and there’s no cooking involved at all. So dive into that pantry and throw it together, you’ll be doing yourself a real favour!
- Medjoul dates
- Peanutbutter (all natural)
- Extra dark chocolate (preferably with a minimum of 75% cacao)
__What to do:__
Just take your date and cut it in half lengthwise. Remove the pit and throw it away. Spoon a teaspoon of your favourite peanut butter into your date and finish off with a small piece of the dark chocolate on top.
TIP: We like to eat this about half an hour before our ride, along with a strong cup of coffee to get in all the energy we need to finish that ride strong!
