Benefits:
Oatmeal can help with acne prone skin by soaking up excess oil from the skin. It can also help with dry skin and remove dead skin cells because of its antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Basically it is a great exfoliator for all skin types.
The cane sugar in the scrub helps to unclog your pores and remove blemishes by removing dead skin cells and gently exfoliating the skin.
The caffeine in the coffee can reduce swelling and inflammation, the anti-oxidants in the coffee have calming affects on your skin and the coffee oversll is really good at improving blood circulation.
Now let's get on to the recipe!
Ingredients:
50 gr Oats
100 gr Raw cane sugar
40 gr Ground coffee
50 ml Warm water
Honey (optional)
Put your oats, sugar and coffee in a bowl. Add some of the warm water and stir through. Lastly its optional to add in your honey. Add more of the water to get to your preferred consistency. For an entire body scrub we recommend using it in the shower as it can get quite messy :-). Gently rub over your body in circular motions and rinse off with water. For optimal results moisturise your skin afterwards with a natural moisturiser.
